Henkel is building a solar station of more than 2,000 m2 in Austria

Located in the Austrian capital, the famous German plant for the production of construction chemicals and detergents has been using exclusively environmentally safe green electricity for its needs since last autumn.

To improve the environmental situation in the region, the company’s management has decided to install an additional solar power plant. The commissioning of the SES is planned for the fall of this year.

Representatives of Henkel say that all the energy produced by the solar station will go to the needs of production and adjacent office buildings. The remaining capacity will be supplied to Austria’s public networks.

According to the information portal Oekonews.at, SES with an area of over 2000 square meters will be installed on the roof of a complex of buildings belonging to the plant. It will generate 450 MWh of clean energy, which will prevent the release of more than 100 tons of carbon dioxide into the environment. It is planned that the investment in construction will exceed 400,000 euros.
