The largest Scottish office center will be powered exclusively by wind power

The largest Scottish office center in Glasgow is fully powered by wind farms.

It is the first major facility to receive electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources in Scotland.

The office building, which has an area of more than 300 thousand square meters, will only use the energy generated by the Blantyre Mui wind farm for its needs. The facility was built almost a decade ago in South Lanarkshire and consists of six wind turbines.

The Scotland wind farm previously supplied power to the campus to which the University of the West of Scotland belongs, as well as the adjacent office space in the surrounding area, according to the DailyBusiness news portal. The company announced last year that it is adding a major office center to these properties, helping it to become fully carbon-neutral.
